We race primarily Melges C Scows & MC Scows three times each week from Memorial Day to November Sundays at 1:00pm & 3:00pm and Wednesdays at 6:00pm from June to September. Committee boats are on the water for all races. However we have Lightnings, catamarans and some other boats and if they get three fellow LDSC boats to show up to race they can race as a variety fleet.  

In general, we accept any sailboat that is under our crane weight limits and can be put in the river with our cranes - the weight limit is not very high. We keep our boats covered and ready to sail on their trailers, drop them in the water with cranes and are ready to go in about 20  minutes. Each full member has keys to the facility and sail whenever they wish.

We are a private club but welcome visitors to our club to watch and maybe even be asked to crew in a race or help on the committee boats. There is a social period with the races and we have parties around the holidays and other times.
