Beginner Sailing Level 1

The Beginner Sailing Program curriculum includes:

• 20 hours of land and on the water instruction
  
• The “Learn Sailing Right” textbook is included
• Sailboat Elements: Sail Power, Boat Parts, Knots and Lines
• Sailing Skills: Upwind, Downwind, Stopping, Docking
• Emergency Skills: Capsize Recovery, Overboard Drill
• Associate Membership to Lake Davenport Sailing Club
• Access to 2025 Tiller Time Events
  

This class will likely be held at  Lake Davenport  but may be moved to Lost Grove Lake if conditions require it.

If class is held on Lake Davenport which is Mississippi River Pool 15 east of lock and dam 15 there is a a manned safety power boat in the river at all times.
